N Gauge Model Railway Layout

An opportunity to own an N-gauge custom-built railway and detailed village scene (as featured in the April 2019 edition of Railway Modeller) which, due to it's design, configuration and flexibility, could also be used at modelling events perhaps. The overall dimensions are 188cm x 94cm. Set in a predominately Southern region environment, the layout is wired for analogue simplicity, with manual points etc. But could easily be converted to DCC with electric points etc.

Control is by Gaugemaster Series TS with three separate track control for inner, outer and goods yard/engine shed. The controller is connected to the protected wiring by 5mm male/female connectors for easy removal and is housed in a sliding drawer fixed beneath the baseboard. The layout includes low voltage LED lighting in buildings, street and platform lights. Wiring is neat, easily accessed by removing four protective panels.

Designed initially to be mounted against a wall, hinging upwards to two retaining hooks, the baseboard also has four adjustable and removable stainless steel legs for conventional horizontal use. A removable 300mm high Gaugemaster backscene surround (on 3 sides) completes the realism. A perspex panel fixes to the station side of the baseboard to offer protection to the station buildings, travellers and lighting etc.
