N Gauge model railway layout, good condition, nice scenery, works well. This layout was built by my son and me about 8 years ago, and involved many hours of work, but has been stored in the loft for the past 6 years, as he grew out of model trains. It is ready to run, just needing a power supply and trains/rolling stock. I have tested it recently and it works very well. The dimensions are 6'11" x 2'3", built on two boards which can be separated for transporting. One board is about 4' long, the other 3'. The track across the board join can be removed so that it is not damaged in transit.

The track is mostly Peco, with 1st and 2nd radius curves, and a few bits of Minitrix. The relatively tight curves mean that some long wheelbase rolling stock may not work perfectly, but when we used it it was great with, among other things, various Farish diesels (class 20, 25, 31, 37 and 47) and also a Hall 4-6-0 which we used for "steam specials". It was also fine with Mk1 and Mk 2 coaches. There are two complete mainlines, with a passing loop for each in the station, and two sidings in the station - lots of trains can be accommodated. Behind the Peco backscene there is an incomplete fiddle yard + some spare bits of loose flexitrack to finish it off.

All the buildings shown in the pictures are included - by Metcalfe, Peco, Kestrel, as well as the ruined castle and very impressive girder bridge. The backscenes look a different shade in the pictures, but that is only because direct daylight is falling on one half of the layout, and not the other. Due to its size it is collection only from East Suffolk (about 20 miles north of Ipswich). Please contact me if you want more information. If you would like to view the layout in advance, please contact me and we can arrange a time.
