Farish n gauge Fairburn Tank 42073 sound working lamps fire effect crew fitted
Graham Farish 372-752 Fairburn 2-6-4 Tank Loco 42073 in BR lined black late crest. Just bought as poor runner but I have rectified by fitting new linkage parts plus fitting sound, working oil type directional lamps (front & rear lamps in yellow for oil lamps not bright white, plus red tail light), firebox fire effect synchronised with coal shovelling sound, crew & fully serviced, now runs very smoothly in both directions.
The sound is the very latest "immersive drive" with active braking from Youchoos on a Zimo decoder. This new drive system is very realistic as the loco coasts to an eventual stop once the throttle is lowered, as per the prototype, the brake has to be applied to stop the loco quickly.
