DCC Sound GRAHAM FARISH N Gauge 371-876DS Class 108 2 Car DMU BR Blue. Thank you for viewing our listing for this two car N gauge model of the Class 108 DMU, manufactured by Graham Farish (371-876DS).
The two halves have the running numbers 50965 & 56248. It comes in BR blue with yellow ends. The destination blinds show Windermere & Oxenholme. The unit is factory fitted with DCC sound with the address set to #3 - it will run on regular analogue layouts as well with engine sounds playing but other sounds uncontrollable, therefore performance will always be best with digital control. Watch the video and listen to the rasp from that exhaust! Both halves of the unit feature a plastic body and chassis, the powered car has a large metal block inside containing the motor. There is an excellent representation of the underframe details with separately fitted exhausts. There are also separately fitted windscreen wipers and roof details.The unit has working head & tail lights and illuminated destination blinds. The unit is in good, used condition and has been test run to ensure proper operation. Unfortunately there are a couple of bogie steps missing from the cab end of the driven unit. The unit runs well but does seem a little jittery so may benefit from a small service. Unfortunately the instructions are missing but the sound function sheet is present.
The additional detailing parts are present for both halves. NOTE that the driven unit's rear glazing is not fitted from the factory to aid with the sound escaping; the glazing is included to fit if you wish. The plastic boxes are in good condition with some light scratches/shelf wear.The outer cardboard sleeve is good with some shelf wear. This is a nice model of a useful DMU with the added benefit of DCC sound. It would make a great addition to your layout or the perfect starting point for a new project!
