Mercig Studios N Gauge Class 08 08682 Lionheart Bombardier Livery

08682 "Lionheart" re-painted and finished by Mercig Studios. The loco has been fully resprayed and finished in Bombardier livery. The model has benefited from the following extra detailing. Replaced buffers to match original loco.

Rectangular at one end, oval at the other. Thin chevrons to match prototype. Fully detailed at one end, semi detailed at other to allow coupling. Since its return to me from Mercig, the loco has been stored in its box. I have run the loco today and it runs ok but not without fault; it will need to be run in and will benefit from the wheels being cleaned.

Whilst it runs well, it needs a slight nudge to get going. This is of course common with 08's given their size but likely more prominent with something that has been weathered to this extent. The item comes from a smoke-free home.
